“Essentially, she will be teaching basic computer 101,” said Oakhurst Library Branch Manager Dale Rushing.

According to Rushing, some of those “basics” include how to turn on a computer, set up an email account, create a password and user name and search the Internet. Space in the class is limited to six, so people need to sign up at the library to guarantee a seat before the class begins, Rushing said. Only library personal computers will be used in the class.

Flanagan, who is semi-retired, was born in Southern California where she lived and worked most of her life. She now lives in Coarsegold.

This free class is sponsored by the Friends of the Oakhurst Branch Library. For more information, call (559) 683-4838 or visit oakhurstfobl.com.
