February 5, 2018 - Soroptimist International of Mariposa recently made a $1,000 donation which will benefit Mountain Crisis.  The funds will be used for continued maintenance of the Mountain Crisis Safe Houses for domestic violence victims.

Soroptimist is an international volunteer organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world.  In addition to participating in international projects, the Mariposa Club achieves this mission locally by giving scholarships to graduating seniors, presenting monetary awards to women that are the heads of their households seeking further education, sponsoring The Elegant Dress Closet, and donating funds to organizations such as Manna House, a non-profit organization that provides emergency food to all in need and the J.C. Fremont Healthcare District for women’s health issues.
