February 9, 2018 - Cardiovascular disease (CVD) accounts for approximately 800,000 deaths in the United States (US), or one out of every three deaths. Among Americans, an average of one person dies from CVD every 40 seconds. Coronary heart disease (CHD) accounts for the majority of CVD deaths, followed by stroke and heart failure. Throughout the day on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, February 14, John C. Fremont (JCF) CPR instructors will teach ‘Hands Only CPR’ in the JCF Hospital Lobby, the Fremont Family Physician Lobby, and in the Greeley Hill Red Cloud Library, in Greeley Hill.
Also, in recognition of “Heart Health Month”, JCF will host two free Heartsaver CPR courses (official certification requires card purchase) on Wednesday, February 28, 2018.
