April 2, 2018 - Mariposa County Library offers free workshops on the first and third Thursday of the month from 3:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. as part of its Green S.T.E.A.M. Makerspace program. The workshops are open to people of all ages and abilities.

The topics are based on the theme of sustainability with each workshop related to science, technology, engineering, art or math (STEAM). Many focus on repurposing used materials or reducing human impact on the earth.

Workshop topics for April and May are:

• Thursday, April 5—create a treasure box from a worn-out video case
• Thursday, April 19—Design and Earth Day button and collage
• Thursday, May 3—Make a solar firefly night light (registration required)
• Thursday, May 17—Engineer a simple robot (registration required)
