Flash Flood Warning
National Weather Service San Joaquin Valley CA
825 AM PDT SAT APR 7 2018

The National Weather Service in Hanford CA has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Mariposa County in central California...
  Southwestern Tuolumne County in northern California...

* Until 215 PM PDT

* At 820 AM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain moving across
  the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

Excessive rainfall over the Detwiler burn scar will result in debris
flow or mudslides in and around the Detwiler burn scar. Line of
heavy rain stretches far back to the west, and will move over the
burn scar and nearby areas over the next few hours at least. The
debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose
materials.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Bootjack, Mariposa, Catheys Valley and Lake McClure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos may occur. The heavy rains
will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
