April 8, 2018 - The “Developing Agri-Nature Entrepreneurship” workshops sponsored by the Mariposa Agri-Nature Association have been rescheduled begin on Thursday, April 12, which originally was to be the second meeting.
As previously announced, the scope of the workshops will include information for any local agricultural or other rural local residents who might be interested in starting a small agricultural or agri-nature business, including the fast growing agri-nature tourism industry.
All are welcome, from those who might merely want to find out the appropriate way to market a small product to those who have larger long-term plans for an agri-nature tourist destination. Even those who have no specific plans now but want to get information out of general interest are welcome to this free set of workshops.
The introductory meeting is scheduled for 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 12 at the County Government Center (supervisor's room).
Topics for the first meeting include:
- What is Agri-Nature Entrepreneurship?
- Information Related to the history of the Farm and Ranch Tour
- Examples of Agri-Nature Entrepreneurship working right now in Mariposa County
- Reasons to Collaborate
- Topics for future meetings
The second meeting (time and date pending) will consist of county government officials presenting specific information on what future business owners need to know.
