May 4, 2018 - Anti-hacking, cell phone and tablets and social media will be the topics covered in the free computer classes at the Mariposa Library from May through July. Classes take place from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M. on the first and last Thursday of the month (with some exceptions). They are taught by Jerry Wagner and the staff of Red Tail Ridge Technical Services in Mariposa.
The program is structured around a lecture/lab format in which participants put to practice in the second class what they have learned in the first class using their own personal laptops or Chromebooks provided for their use.
The class schedule is as follows:
- May 24 and 31--anti-hacking;
- June 7 and 28--bring your own cell phones and tablets; and
- July 5 and 26--social media.
Suggestions of topics for future classes will be considered.
Space is limited, and registration is required. For more information or to register, call the Library at (209) 966-2140 during business hours, email karen.dusek@mariposalibrary.org, or sign up in person at the Library.
