November 10, 2014 Update:

Reaching out in a email to Mariposa County Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Board, Mary Bass for a comment on the contract non-renewal of Mariposa County CEO Kathy McCorry she responded with the following email. The Board voted not to renew Kathy's contract and cancel the automatic renewal of her contract. We thank her for her service and wish her all the best.

We also emailed CEO Kathy McCorry on Sunday morning for a comment but as of early Monday morning there has not been a response.

November 9, 2014 - Kathy McCorry Facebook: It is with deep regret and a heavy heart that I must inform my friends and neighbors that the Mariposa County Chamber of Commerce has decided not to renew my contract, which expired on October 31st, and to cancel the auto renewal on that contract. I am sure the Board of Directors and new Chamber staff will do their best to meet your needs. They will need a great deal of support, and I ask that you give it them. It is my sincerest hope that the Board will seek out a qualified and trained Chamber CEO so that your Chamber can continue to be the professional organization you deserve.

Great things took place during my tenure but I feel like three years was not long enough, it seems to have gone by so quickly. There is so much more I wish I could have done. Alas, this will not be the case. It is sad closing to a wonderful part of life. I wish the Business Community of Mariposa well. It has been an honor. I truly enjoyed serving all of you.
