How Our Community Looks at Addiction
July 2, 2018 - Addiction does not only take place in a dark alley behind an abandoned building. It is alive and well, taking place right next door, in the local supermarket, in the church community, at the local tourist attraction, and in our schools. It walks among us. Many think it won’t happen to them, this is the “other” person’s problem but it’s not. It impacts the community and it reaches far beyond public health.
You can make a difference in your community and that difference comes through awareness, education, and support. The community deserves an opportunity to move through addiction and thrive in recovery.
That is why we are asking you to join us, listen to a message of hope, share your ideas, and become a part of the solution. Join us on Wednesday, July 11th from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the Mariposa Government Center located at 5100 Bullion Street. Together, with ONE VOICE, we can change how our community looks at addiction and empower each other, showing the world that we can and do recover!
