September 4, 2018 - The Madera County Sheriff's Office reports on Monday, September 3, 2018 around 3:08 p.m., the Madera County Sheriff’s Office received a call for service regarding a boating accident at Bass Lake. Deputies responded to the scene along with EMS and located two victims, ages 32 and 7, in need of medical attention after being struck by a boat.

The 32 year old male was transported to local regional hospital via ground ambulance, while the 7 year old female victim was airlifted to a local regional hospital for treatment. The 7 year old female was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
