On Sunday, December 7th, 2014 at 2:00 PM, Mariposa Museum and History Center will be hosting one of our own, Jean Werly, for a Fireside Chat. Jean will be joining us for a book signing and tales of this infamous day in history. Jean is the author of a delightful new book, her first, titled ‘A Tent By The Creek’.“A special time remembered – a memoir – a charming story recounting life on a ranger station (the Miami Station)…. There will be smiles, chuckles and the laugh-out-loud adventures, that life held. Author Jean Werly also gives an interesting first-hand look at local history and life during The Depression and World War II.”
So come an join us for a for a chat by the fire as Jean warms our hearts and minds with her remembrances of what life was like here in the Mariposa area during this time of our history.
