FREE “Native Grasses” Workshop

September 20, 2018 - Although lawns are popular in many suburban and city areas where yards are small, here in fire country we encourage landscaping that works in harmony with nature.  Join the UC Master Gardeners of Mariposa County for a FREE “Native Grasses for Conservation, Restoration, and Landscaping” workshop on Saturday, September 29, 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 noon, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers at 5100 Bullion St., Mariposa, CA.

Jodie Sheffield is a sod and seed specialist in charge of research and development for Delta Bluegrass Company in Stockton, CA.  She will be discussing landscaping that fits into the natural environment, lawn alternatives, plant selection, materials, seasonality and maintenance needs.  She will also highlight several species and their characteristics.
