October 16, 2018 - Kids First President Rick Uebner recently stopped by to Sierra Foothill Charter School to deliver grant awards two teachers. Seventh-eighth grade teacher Andrea Contreras (pictured on the left) received a grant award for new novels to add to her classroom's literature circle collection. The theme of the collection focuses on accepting and understanding one another, important aspects of seventh and eighth grade student lives. Teena Starchman (pictured on the right) received a grant for nonfiction literature circle books that her students will also use for their research projects in February. The books are about different American Presidents and First Ladies.
