October 29, 2018 - San Andreas – On Saturday, October 27th, 2018 at approximately 5:23 AM CAL FIRE responded to a wildland fire located on Lake Road approximately 1.3 miles south of Highway 132 near the community of La Grange in Stanislaus County. 

The fire burned approximately three acres of grass and oak woodlands. The cause was determined to be arson.

A witness provided a suspect description, and the person matching that description was located on a nearby cattle ranch with assistance from employees of the ranch.

Nassar Albadwi, 45, was detained by CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers and interviewed regarding the fire.

Albadwi was subsequently arrested for arson to wildland and booked at the Stanislaus County Jail.

CAL FIRE Officers applied for a bail enhancement, which was approved in the amount of $250,000.
