November 8, 2018 - Join Soroptimist International of The Sierras for our 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off Fall Fundraiser Event this Saturday, November 10th, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Oakhurst Community Center and proceeds benefit local projects and scholarships to local women & girls.
Join us for a night of good food, live music by Slide Creek, South Gate Brewing Co beer, wine, raffle and fun! Bring the family!
Local restaurants, chefs and groups will compete for this year's title of Best Chili in the community and you will be the judge as it is a people’s choice award!
Contestants includes last year’s winner - Oakhurst Grill as well as Smokehouse 41, Barnett's Meat, Country Fair Cinnamon Rolls & Catering, FFA Yosemite Boosters and more!
Only $20 per meal ticket includes all you can eat Soroptimist famous chili, hot dogs, Frito chili boats, cornbread & cookies made by the Soroptimist ladies. Many choices for toppings for your chili also included!! Also included is a drink ticket and raffle ticket! Kids meals are $5 for 10 and under, 3 and under free!
Purchase your ticket before they are sold out from Soroptimist members, Oakhurst Giftworks or Oakhurst Grill before the morning of Friday, November 9th or online 24/7 at ChiliCookOff2018.eventbrite.com. Tickets will be available at the door if they are still available.

These events provide funds for many groups within our community such as: 'Dream It – Be It' conference for high school girls, high school scholarships, 'Live Your Dream' Awards for continuing education for women in college and other local community projects.
Soroptimist is an International volunteer organization working to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. Founded in 1921, Soroptimist has approximately 95,000 members in 120 countries and territories. Soroptimist members belong to local clubs which determine community focus projects and programs in addition to supporting organization-wide programs, all of which benefit women and girls.
