November 11, 2018 - SACRAMENTO – On this Veterans Day, Secretary of State Alex Padilla is encouraging Californians to dedicate their past or future vote in honor of someone who 
has served or is currently serving in the military.
Californians can dedicate their votes through the Secretary of State’s “Honor Veterans. Vote.” program. Everyone who dedicates their vote receives either a free pin or certificate to proudly display in honor of their chosen loved one. All vote dedications are displayed on the Secretary of State’s website.
“Millions of Californians headed to the polls earlier this week, and now they can honor a veteran or active duty service member in their life by dedicating their vote,” Secretary of State Alex Padilla said. “The service and sacrifice of generations of service members has made our democracy possible. We should honor our veterans and active duty service members by participating in the democracy that so many have fought to preserve. This Veterans Day, I am encouraging all Californians to consider dedicating their votes in honor of a loved one who has served or is currently serving.”
