BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED Flash Flood Warning National Weather Service San Joaquin Valley CA 842 AM PST WED NOV 28 2018 The National Weather Service in Hanford CA has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Central Mariposa County in central California... Southeastern Tuolumne County in northern California... * Until 430 PM PST Wednesday. * At 837 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned area. In addition, Caltrans/CHP reported mud slides along Highway 140 in Mariposa County. Flash flooding and debris flows are expected to continue through out the day. Excessive rainfall over the warning area will cause mud slides near steep terrain. The mud slide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... El Portal, Jerseydale and Crane Flat. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of creeks and roads is likely. The heavy rains will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep terrain, especially in and around these areas. Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
