Central Mariposa County in central California... Southeastern Tuolumne County in northern California... * Until 915 AM PST Thursday. * At 112 AM PST, heavy rain at times is expected over the burn area tonight into Thursday morning. Flash flooding and debris flows are likely tonight into Thursday morning. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will cause mud slides near steep terrain. The mud slide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation, and other loose materials. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... El Portal, Jerseydale and Crane Flat. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of creeks and roads is likely. The heavy rain will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides, and debris flows in steep terrain, especially in and around these areas. Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
