According to reports, the unknown suspect backed his vehicle – a 1995 Red 4-door Honda, license plate 6JEU094 – into a parking stall directly in front of the business.He walked inside, yanked items right off the store’s display counters, walked out without paying, and drove off.
Items swiped from Sears include: an electric power drill, $159.99; socket wrench set, $149.99; Impact Drill/Half Inch Drive, $139.99; and a 20-piece wrench set valued at 99.99.
The crime occurred shortly after 5:00 PM. The store is located on Junction Drive, off CA-49 in Oakhurst.
The suspect in the attached surveillance picture is described as white or possibly Hispanic. He had his hair pulled back in a ponytail. He has a medium build, and was wearing a red baseball cap, red jersey, dark colored jeans, and what appear to be black sneakers with white soles.
