December 3, 2014 - Columbia, Calif.--The 33rd Annual Victorian Feast will return to Columbia State Historic Park this December, recreating an 1850’s banquet, complete with a cast of colorful characters, music and great food and wine selections.

The event, which is being sponsored by Friends Of Columbia State Historic Park, is open to adults, and will take place for three nights only, on Friday December 12 (start time 6:30 p.m.), Sunday December 14 (start time 5:30 p.m.), and Friday December 19 (start time 6:30 p.m.) at the restored Columbia City Hotel. The cost per person is $120.00, and reservations are required, as seating is limited to fifty (50) persons per night. Attendees should dress in formal or Victorian attire.

“The Victorian Feast tradition in Columbia State Historic Park is part of this community, and it helps us connect with our supporters in a really unique and unforgettable way,” explained Friends Chairman, Richard Roe.

Proceeds from this special event will help fund educational and interpretive programs in Columbia State Historic Park, including hands-on student activities for the many schools that visit the park throughout the year.

This year’s Victorian Feast is particularly special because of the return of a number of original actors and singers who made this a very special gathering for over two decades. After a nine year hiatus, Tom Bender, long time hotel manager and co-creator of the Victorian Feast, has reassembled most of the original “gang” to help keep this long standing tradition alive!

Tom returns as the Morgan’s bumbling butler, Terri Wilson revives her delightful role as Fifi the maid, and Steve McArthur comes back as the heartless villain, DO Mills. The Mirth & Glee Singers, along with pianist Gail Johnson [who has attended every Feast season since the beginning!] will once again fill our hearts with yuletide song. In addition, some of our favorite actors from nearby Murphy’s Creek Theater Company will join the fun.  

Always facing imminent perils, town closures, water cut-offs, and mini baby booms, the plucky and resilient Morgan family manage to overcome all obstacles and provide their guests and friends with an astonishing banquet surrounded by opulent seasonal décor and infused with non-stop merriment.
