December 12, 2018 - The Mariposa Museum and History Center will be having their annual Christmas Open House on Sunday, December 16th from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 PM.
Santa will be visiting the museum from 1:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. The stamp mill will run at 2:00 P.M., the Counts’ House, and Gazette Buildings will be available to view all day. Admission is free, and there will be popcorn, cookies and hot cider available for all to enjoy.
As this Christmas season approaches, what better way of celebrating then by supporting local authors and artists. As you look for that something special to give remember the Mariposa Museum and History Center. The museum gift shop holds a wonderful selection of locally made handcrafts and jewelry. They have a great selection of books by local authors on the history of this place we call home. And if that’s not enough, there are vintage toys and games, gifts of gold, and lots more.
Mariposa Museum and History Center is located at 5119 Jessie Street, across Highway 140 from the Happy Burger Diner. The museum is open 7 days a week from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. They will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. They’ll also be closed New Years Eve and New Years Day.
