December 31, 2018 - Yosemite National Park reports the Park is very busy with limited services. Unless you already have a reservation and places to stay, if possible, 
consider planning a day-use-only trip to the park after the holiday week has ended.

The Hetch Hetchy area is now closed due to lack of restroom facilities and resulting impacts from human waste. As previously announced, Mariposa Grove area is closed (this includes trails leading into the grove). In order to avoid pedestrian-vehicle conflicts and additional human waste issues, do not enter these areas. People entering closed areas are being cited.
Restrooms are available in communities outside Yosemite, and inside Yosemite at open concession facilities. There are also portable toilets at Wawona, Crane Flat, and Big Oak Flat. Please use bearproof dumpsters or trash cans at concession facilities or pack your trash out. Do not add trash to a full trash can or dumpster.
Entering closed areas (such as Mariposa Grove or Hetch Hetchy), disposing of human waste or trash improperly, having a pet in an area closed to pets, and all other park regulations are being enforced.
