January 3, 2019 - The Mariposa County Chamber of Commerce announces Scott Fiester as new Executive Director.
On behalf of the Mariposa County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, we are proud to introduce Scott Fiester, a Mariposa native, as our new Executive Director. Please help us give a warm welcome home to Scott and his family!
About Scott
Scott Fiester was born in Mariposa, California to parents, Richard (Rod) and Kristen Fiester, in 1988. Scott received his education through the Mariposa County School District, and graduated from Mariposa County High School in 2006. His interests in high school included piano, choir, basketball and swimming. Scott met his wife, Colby Fiester, while attending high school and the two married in June 2009. Scott and Colby have two children together: Liam (8) and Addelynn (6).
Scott served eight years in the United States Army as a Human Intelligence Collector. While in the Army, Scott served in many locations within the United States and globally including Fort Bragg, Fort Meade, Bamberg (Germany), and Fort Bliss. He served two combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan with Special Forces units where he received the Bronze Star for meritorious service in a combat zone.
Upon completion of his military service, Scott and his family relocated to Tucson, Arizona. There, Scott pursued his education in business from the University of Arizona Eller College of Management. Scott graduated Cum Laude from the University of Arizona in 2017, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems.
During his Senior year at the University of Arizona, Scott was offered an internship opportunity working for Intuit QuickBooks, and became a full time employee upon graduation. Scott assisted in leading an effort standing up Intuit’s Customer Experience Lab, a business unit dedicated to streamlining processes, accelerating innovation, and powering the prosperity of small business owners. Scott became a certified Innovation Catalyst at Intuit and facilitated innovation efforts utilizing Design for Delight and Customer Driven Innovation. He is incredibly excited to bring these concepts to the Chamber to ensure we are providing value to our amazing business owners.
Despite his success at Intuit, Scott and his family had a burning desire to return home. Scott and Colby wanted to avail their children to the same amazing values that life in Mariposa County provides. Scott is incredibly excited to take on the Executive Director role at Mariposa County Chamber of Commerce where he sees himself collaborating with businesses and the local community to provide an extraordinary entrepreneurial environment while maintaining Mariposa’s small town values and traditions.

- Scott is a third generation Fiester residing in Mariposa.
- Scott’s birth was one of the last scheduled at John C. Fremont Hospital.
- Scott loves to preserve his Argentinian heritage by cooking empanadas, milanesas, chorizo sandwiches, and asado.
