January 7, 2019 - With no immediate end to the government (partial) shutdown in sight, the Yosemite Gateway Partners (YGP) Board of Directors has canceled its January 10th Winter YGP Logo300Quarterly Meeting.

While Yosemite National Park remains open with very limited staffing: public health, unsupervised and unauthorized visitor usage and other safety impacts have been of grave concern.

Cancellation of next Thursday's program was considered a difficult but necessary decision.  With no participation or input by National Park Service staff available, the meeting's entire second half was eliminated.   The meeting's first half was to have been devoted to regional tribal speakers/representatives.   Those presenters have now generously agreed to offer their updates on the Wahhoga Village reconstruction in Yosemite Valley and the Sierra Mono Museum at the YGP's July 11th Quarterly Meeting.

Yosemite Gateway Partners is a partnership of government agencies, non-profit organizations, tribes, individuals and businesses that acknowledge the interdependence of Yosemite National Park and the surrounding communities, and collaborate on and address issues of regional importance to create sustainable cultural, natural and economic prosperity.
