ABC’s Dance Party Supports MCHS Students

January 17, 2019 - It’s time to dance! The MCHS Academic Boosters Club (ABC) is hosting a Winter Dance Party fundraiser on Friday, February 8, from 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. in the Red Bud Room at the Fairgrounds.

DJs Jon-Paul Salonen and Erik Westerlund will entertain with extremely danceable tunes all evening long.

Attendees can also try their luck at card tables. Foster Ace Hardware has generously donated prizes for the top chip earners.

Tickets to this adult-only event are $20. They can be purchased ahead of time at the Chamber of Commerce, Pony Expresso, The Alley, or they can be purchased at the door. The $20 entry fee includes one drink ticket.

Those interested in cards can purchase game chips for an additional $20.

Delicious small plates of food will be available for $5 each. There will be savory snacks as well as sweet treats. Some will be made by MCHS Ag Foods & Processing students. There will also be a no host bar.

This is a party you won't want to miss, and it supports a great cause!

All proceeds help ABC to continue to provide academic enrichment experiences for MCHS students, such as helping to fund Academic Decathlon students’ travel expenses to a regional competition, a January field trip to Yosemite to have discussions with Aramark business managers about career opportunities, UC Merced lab tours happening in March, and monthly Career Lunches held in the high school’s Learning Center.

MCHS Academic Boosters Club, Inc. (ABC) is a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to supplement and enrich academic experiences and provide educational tools for Mariposa County High School students.
