December 12, 2014 - Looking at the Sierra Sun Times weather station graph from Thursday what is interesting is the drop in the Barometric Pressure as this weather system moved into the area. From a high pressure of 29.31 at the beginning of the day the barometer dropped to 29.02 at 11:16 P.M. as the rain was just beginning at the SST weather station. The storm of December 2, 2014 had the pressure drop to 29.21.

The highest recorded wind gust was at 1:06 P.M. of 19 MPH. We did notice a couple of gusts of around 21 MPH that are not on the graph. The average wind speed for the day was 3.2 MPH.

The rain held off until the very late evening hours and dropped .03" by Midnight.

The high temp for the day of 59.2 degrees was at 7:26 P.M. while the low for the day came in at 11:46 P.M. at 48.9 degrees as the weather system moved in.

As of Friday morning at 3:00 A.M. the SST rain gauge has .74" in the gauge. Not much wind so far for the day and the Barometric Pressure is climbing.
