January 30, 2019 - Caltrans and our construction partners are working tirelessly on an ongoing contract to rehabilitate and repair State Route 140 in the area of the Ferguson Fire burn scar in Mariposa County.
This work includes replacing culverts (underground drainage systems), removing potentially hazardous trees, and slope scaling (using erosion control measures on roadside slopes to mitigate future slide activity).
As of last week, crews had replaced 4-5 culverts and had finished three miles of tree removal and slope scaling.
This project is scheduled to continue through April 2019, and will include 15-to-20 minute delays on SR-140 between Slate Gulch (a few miles past Briceburg) and the Yosemite National Park entrance during daytime hours.
Thank you so much for your patience and cooperation.
