February 1, 2019 - The National Weather Service Hanford Office has the projected rainfall amounts for this evening through Monday afternoon.
Much of the San Joaquin Valley should receive generally one to two inches of rainfall.
Four to six inches of rain should fall in the Mariposa, Madera, Fresno, and Tulare County foothills.
The majority of this rain will fall Saturday and Saturday night.
We have high confidence in very heavy snowfall in the Southern Sierra Nevada this evening into early next week.
Snow levels will start at around 7,000 feet this evening, before falling to about 5,000 feet Saturday night.
Snow levels will drop below 4,000 feet Sunday night and Monday.
The majority of this projected snow will fall Saturday and Saturday night.
