MLJC LogoFebruary 4, 2019 - The Mother Lode Jewish Community invites you to join us for a Kabbalat Shabbat Service on the evening of Friday, February 15th.  Then on Sunday, February 24th, Rabbi Andra Greenwald will be conducting an adult Jewish education workshop.  Both will be held at a private meeting hall in Columbia.

The Shabbat gathering will start at 5:30 P.M. and will begin with a 'meat/parve' potluck dinner followed by a lay led service.

The educational workshop, which will be from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., is the third in a series of workshops held in recent months, but attendance at the prior ones is certainly not a requirement as there are far more facets of our evening and morning prayers to explore.

MLJC events take place primarily in the Jamestown/Sonora/Columbia and Murphys/Copperopolis areas. These gatherings are open, most at no charge, to non-members who wish to participate in the Jewish Community.

The MLJC’s mission is to provide opportunities and events that nurture a vibrant and enduring Jewish identity, culture and community in the Mother Lode, drawing members from Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne and Mariposa counties.  New members and guests are always welcome.  Please check the event calendar on the MLJC website: MotherLodeJewishCommunity.org for information throughout the year on our various programs and services.  Call (209) 533-1650 between 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. to learn more.
