February 8, 2019 - The Mariposa County Arts Council is pleased to continue the F/STOP photography program aimed at Mariposa residents 55 years of age and older. This program consists of a series of free, 5-week digital photography workshops focused on the artistic elements of photography and is designed to promote creativity, self-expression, and increase comfort with digital technology.

Each workshop includes: lessons on the elements of art, principles of design, composition, and lighting; facilitated discussions; a photographic field expedition/field trip; and guidance on presenting the artwork created in the program. Images from all the workshops will be included in an exhibition at the Arts Council’s Treetop Gallery this summer.

Anyone with an interest in photography is encouraged to register. No prior experience with photography is required and iPod cameras are provided for anyone who does not have a digital camera.
Classes will be held in Mariposa and Coulterville. The Mariposa classes will be held at the Treetop Gallery (5009 Hwy 140, Mariposa, CA 95338) from 2:30 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. on the following dates:
