MAC Vet Tribute

You've got photos, medals and a story to tell - now what?

March 6, 2019 - Join film maker, Amanda Law, at the Mariposa Art Council's Treetop Gallery Tuesday, March 19 and Thursday, March 21 to learn how to create a short video highlighting your or a loved one’s experiences in the service with step-by-step instruction from script writing to conducting video interviews to visual aesthetics and editing. Amanda will provide the best approach whether you are working with simple equipment and software (iPhone and iMovie) or a DSLR camera with Premiere on your MacBook Pro. With a little time and effort, you will be able to produce a short video tribute with confidence and pride.

The workshop will consist of two classes held on March 19 and 21, 2019 at the Treetop Gallery (5009 Highway 140) from 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Light snacks will be served.

This workshop is free of charge to veterans and their families, but space is limited, so be sure to sign up today!

To sign up, please call the Arts Council at (209) 966-3155 or email Alicia Rodriguez at rodriguez@mariposaartscouncil.org.

This program is part of the Arts Council’s ongoing Veterans in the Arts (VIA) initiative which addresses equity, access, and opportunity by providing project and partnership support to reach veterans, active military, and their families. VIA serves to enrich the lives of veterans through arts programming that is sensitive and responsive to their unique experiences.

Special thanks to the Mariposa County Probation Department's Local Innovation Grant program for supporting this program.
