March 6, 2019 - During the month of February, Sierra Foothill Charter School staff worked with students on the meaning of the core virtue of heroism. At a school wide assembly on Friday, teachers recognized students who exemplified this trait: (pictured l-r) William Henderson, Brody Bean, Milo Harrison, Lucca Petretti-Meek, Indra LaRoche, Reese Evans, Waylon Hance, Rya Salonen, Anna Ramirez, and (not pictured) Rylan Perez.
Teacher Erika Miranda was recognized as the staff member of the month. She was nominated by other staff members, parents, and students - past, present, and future - for her creativity, caring, efforts, skill, humor, and dedication in supporting every student as they reach towards their fullest potential.

Throughout the month, students are given tickets when they exhibit behavior that goes beyond what is normally expected. Students place their tickets in jars in their classrooms. When their ticket is picked, they have the option of immediately choosing a prize from the treasure chest in the school office or entering their ticket in a jar for a chance to win the grand prize for the month.

Sierra Foothill Charter School is a free, non-profit, TK-8 public school. For the 2018-2019 school year, space is currently available in grades TK, 5, 8, and the Home School program.
