March 15, 2019 - As part of the MCHS Academic Boosters Club's Career Lunch series, Andrew Glikin, owner of Raw Roots Farm in Catheys Valley, spoke with high school students on Thursday, March 15, about his experience being a small, local farmer and how he and his wife, Lauren, started their business. Raw Roots Farm is an ecologically focused, naturally-grown, no-till community farm that produces enough food to support members of their Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) system, plus many more families through farmer's markets and house sales. The Glikins also distribute food to local restaurants in Mariposa County and one in Merced. Students enjoyed their conversation with Andrew and the free pizza lunch provided by an Anonymous Donor.
