“Celebrating a Small Town with a Big Heart”

April 1, 2019 - The 33rd annual Raymond Parade, sponsored by the Raymond Community Association, will be held on Saturday, April 20, and starts at 12:00 high noon, in Raymond, California. This year we celebrate Raymond, a small town with a big heart! Come rain or shine, this annual parade always promises a great day of old-time family fun!  So, bring the kids and set up your chairs to enjoy a simple time with family and friends!  Proceeds go to the Raymond Community Association Scholarship Fund.

Date of Parade: Saturday, April 20, 2019 Start Time: 12:00 high noon

Come for the Parade and All the Special After-Parade Events: Museum tours, cultural demonstrations, big raffle, silent auction, arts and crafts, non-profit booths, great food selection, family fun with the Kids Korner and free Kids Carnival and HUGE Easter egg hunt, stick horse races and steer roping dummies, PTA kids bounce house, Abe Lincoln and Mary Lincoln Todd will be strolling the grounds, live traditional country music by “Crossroads,” and fiddlers on the museum porch, all to be held in Raymond, at the Raymond Museum grounds. Raffle and silent auction winners announced at 3:00 P.M.!

Raymond Museum: Will be open on parade day, and offers a wonderful view into the fascinating Sierra, Yosemite, and local history. Museum opens at 10:00 A.M.

Cultural Demonstrations: “The Acorn Lady”, Lois Conner Bohna, of the Mono Tribe, is an artist and preserver of her Mono Indian culture and heritage. She lives out and teaches her native traditions and language in her cultural demonstrations of basketry, tools, and culture that she will share during the day.

Parade Entrants and Arts and Crafts Vendors are Welcome: Parade entrant cost is $15 for a 2-person entry, or $25 for three-person or more entry. Trophies will be awarded! This is a great way to show off your local community spirit and highlight your local organization, non-profit or business! Arts and Crafts & Non-Profit booths are only $25 for 10x10 spaces.
