April 2, 2019 - After the long, wet winter we are looking forward to a green, flowering spring. The birds are chirping their happy song, dormant plants are showing the promise of green buds and flowers. At Chocolate Soup we are preparing for our Spring Open House coming up on Friday, April 5, Saturday, April 6 & Sunday, April 7, 2019.

Lots of new, fresh looks will fill the store---from the black & white Farmhouse style brightened with rabbits and spring flowers, to a romantic vintage look complete with painted furniture, florals on wall décor, pillows and vintage dishes. Faux flowers and birds complete the look.
In "The Cottage" a more contemporary casual look will be displayed showing lots of natural woven décor.  Natural cotton pillows & throws, natural fibers braided into runners & placemats, woven rugs and baskets. Warm wood tones and accents in blues will give the cottage a peaceful, fresh feeling.

"The Cabin" will feature locally made-in-the-mountains rustic log furniture and new mountain style bathroom décor. Shower curtains, towels, rugs and more!

With Spring and the beautiful weather, we all want to be outside sprucing up our yards, gardens and planting beds. At Chocolate Soup we don't sell plants and compost, but we do have a wonderful selection of garden décor.

"The Potting Shed" and Gardens will be brimming with special accents you can purchase to add personality and whimsy to your yard! This spring we'll be featuring yard art in the form of garden bells, chimes, balancers, birdhouses, metal and wooden flowers, sculptures, outdoor pillows and more!     

During our Open House weekend, Pamela Toney will be showing and selling her "Inspired Gemstones" jewelry.

Come and meet Steven Riley, author and illustrator of the "Ty Cooney" books.  He will be signing his books on Saturday, April 6^th, from 12:00 noon – 3:00 p.m.

As always, we'll have an array of goodies to try!  We'll be sampling our "Mama Bear's Kitchen Co." Scone Mixes, "Aloha from Oregon" Pepper Jellies and "Carmie's" Dips.

This is the time to treat yourself to some of our "chocolate soup," too!  Served all weekend.   

Our motto is "Friends bring friends to Chocolate Soup."  So, we hope you can come, bring a friend, and enjoy all our store has to offer you! 
The lamb (pictured above, with the owner of Chocolate Soup, Robbie), the quintessential symbol of spring. This life size plush cutie will be given away at the end of our Spring Open House, April 5, 6, & 7. Make a purchase and your name will go in the drawing jar. Every $10 over will give you another chance. The lamb is a $65 value from “Melissa and Doug” one of our favorite toy companies. 

Chocolate Soup will be open: Friday April 5 and Saturday, April 6 from 10:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. and Sunday, April 7 from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
