May 20, 2019 - The Mariposa County Arts Council's annual summer concert series, Music on the Green kicks off on Friday, May 31 with Mariposa's own The Trespassers, followed by The Danny Millsap Band on Saturday, June 1.
The Trespassers
The Trespassers have been consistently performing together in the same lineup for fifteen years. The Trespassers are an Americana folk string band whose music is based around the songwriting of multi-instrumentalists/singers Bronco Ben Goger (guitar/mandolin) and Tarantula Andy Roberts (banjo/guitar). The songs are given wings and set to flight by the rock-solid upright Bass playing of Benny Lee Friderich and the virtuosic violin playing and spot on harmony singing of Sarah Cupery-Ottley. On June 1st, the arts council presents the genuine real deal honkytonk of the Danny Millsap Band. The Danny Millsap Band hails from the lower foothill region of California's Central Valley. Their music is heavily influenced by the outlaw country greats such as Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard... Danny's engaging performance will have people on the edge of their seats and dancing throughout the Mariposa County Art Park.

All performances begin at 7:00 P.M. (unless otherwise noted) at the Mariposa County Art Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4th and 5th Streets, in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Free parking on 5th Street along the Creek Walkway to the Park, also providing handicapped access.
The shows are free to the public – tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated.
