June 21, 2019 - The Sierra National Forest Bass Lake Ranger District reports road construction to begin in July.
The Upper Chiquito Bridge replacement is being planned and on the horizon. Beginning sometime in mid-July, Beasore Road (5S07) a portion of the National Scenic Byways route, will be closed at mile post 21. A detour route will be in effect and take you along Grizzly Road (6S01) providing access to all areas beyond Mile post 22.
Once work begins the replacement will take 180 days.
More detailed information will be coming once we have definite dates confirmed for this project.
