July 1, 2019 - Tax Day has come and gone, but it’s not too late to file your 2018 state income tax return. In fact, free tax prep help is available both online and in-person at locations around California.

April 15 was the deadline for taxpayers who owed tax. But if you didn’t get around to filing, remember that everyone gets an automatic, six-month filing extension to file until Oct. 15.

Or, if you would like help in person, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers sites around the state for families making $55,000 or less.
