January 5, 2015- SACRAMENTO – Assemblyman Frank Bigelow, R-O’Neals, issued the following statement today in response to Governor Brown’s annual State of the State Address:
“I would like to extend my sincerest congratulations to Governor Brown on his historic inauguration today. Like Governor Brown, I want to make higher education and K-12 schools a priority in the upcoming year. We should start by sending more Prop. 30 education tax dollars to the classroom as the voters were promised. Rural California must also not be forgotten when decisions are made at the State Capitol. I will work across party lines to ensure that our region has access to excellent healthcare options, top-notch schools, and sufficient resources to keep our communities safe.”
Lifelong rancher Frank Bigelow proudly represents the 5th Assembly District, which encompasses Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Madera, Mariposa, Mono, Placer, and Tuolumne counties and includes Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park.
