July 17, 2019 - The Sierra National Forest Fish Fire afternoon update for Wednesday, July 17, 2019:
Clovis, CA - At 4:17 P.M. on July 15, 2019 the Fish Fire was reported on the Bass Lake Ranger District of the Sierra National Forest. The Fish Fire is burning entirely inside the perimeter of the 2014 French Fire, within proximity to the Fish Creek Campground.

Cause: Unknown/Investigation in progress, Personnel: 130, Injuries: 0, Closures: Precautionary Fish Creek Campground
Activity – Overnight fire behavior was at a low, allowing fire crews to gain ground in the suppression actions toward containment of the Fish Fire. Activity remains concentrated to the east flank where crews continue to keep the fire from entering the San Joaquin River drainage.
