July 31, 2019 - The Sierra Shadow Casters Motorcycle Club was pleased to present a $1,000.00 donation to the Children’s Museum of the Sierra. The funds were raised by the club’s recent motorcycle poker run through Yosemite known as the Sierra Memorial Run. The Annual fundraising event just completed its 9th year and garners support from Mountain and Valley motorcyclist who donate to go on a ride.

Each year the Shadow Casters select a different charitable organization as a benefactor. The Children’s Museum of the Sierra is an internationally known interactive museum located at 49269 Golden Oak Dr, Oakhurst, CA 93644. It is designed for kids 2 to 12 and features over 4000 square feet of hands-on learning activities. The museum is not only a local favorite Valley parents often bring their kids to enjoy the learning adventure not to mention visitors from over 50 countries.
The Museum’s Director Jim Elliot has personally constructed many of the exhibits and is well qualified to do so having been a part of the Disney team for many years. The museum is a non-profit organization and depends entirely on donations to exist.

The Shadow Casters are hosting a Motorcycle Poker Run on Saturday, September 7 to raise funds for the Madera County Volunteer Fire Department Station 10 in Yosemite Lakes Park. The event is open to the public. Doors open at 1:00 P.M. at the YLP Clubhouse. $15.00 at the door. Live Music, Raffles and Lunch provided by the Blue Herron Restaurant.
