August 9, 2019 - Please take action. This is important.
Tuolumne Animal Control’s budget is at great risk of being reduce to the point that all animals going in will be at risk of being euthanized soon after. This could be yours or your friend’s dog getting off the leash and away from you. This is also true for stray and abandoned cats, kittens, and puppies.
Right now, Animal Control operates on a shoestring budget. I know these people personally and they love animals. They work hard with rescues, social media and other outlets to extend what they can do. This is a labor of love for our animals (your animals) in this community!
You can and are needed to make the difference to this as a very possible outcome.
What you can do:
Attend the 8/13 (Tuesday, August 13) board of supervisors meeting, 9:00 A.M.
Tuolumne County Administration Center, 4th floor
2 S. Green St.
Sonora, CA 95370
If you do not have transportation and want to attend, contact me at (408) 440-6466 and we will coordinate a carpool.
OR
Call: (209) 533-5521
and request that the board of supervisors maintain their current level of funding (also known as their recommended plan).
