August 31, 2019 - What to do with the pine needles piling up under all those dead trees? With just a needle and strong thread, they can be transformed into exquisite baskets. Learn how at the next Crazy for Crafts Makerspace workshop at the Mariposa Library on Saturday, September 7, 2019.

The workshop, open to anyone aged 16 or older and taught by local artisan Nancy Francis, will take place from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon. Materials for one basket will be provided at no cost.

Crazy for Crafts is part of the Library’s Green S.T.E.A.M. Makerspace program, which features science, technology, engineering, arts and math (S.T.E.A.M.) workshops under the general theme of sustainability. The Crazy for Crafts portion of the program is offered on the last Saturday of the month from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon, with some exceptions for holidays. Coming up in October will be clay leaves.
