Update 2:30 P.M.: Mariposa County Sheriff's Office reports the Bootjack Fire is Contained.
Please avoid the area. Fire suppression equipment remains in the area as CAL FIRE continues with the mop up / clean up process.

Update 1:55 P.M.: PG&E camera is showing less smoke (Above photo is older), air tankers have been released from the Bootjack Fire

September 3, 2019 - The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office reports the Bootjack Fire began during the noon hour as a structure fire in the 4500 blk. of Indian Peak Road.

No Mandatory Evacuations at this time.

Fire advisements are being made directly to the homes in the effected area. 

Please avoid the area.
