Half Dome in Yosemite National Park

September 6, 2019 - Yosemite National Park officals report at approximately 11:55 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019 a female visitor died due to a fall from the Half Dome cables in Yosemite National Park. She fell over 500 feet down steep, rocky terrain, and was deceased when Park Rangers arrived on the scene.
The decedent is identified as Danielle Burnett, 29, from Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
The incident remains under investigation and there is no further information available. There are no photos or video of the incident.
