September 13, 2019  Update:

On September 10, 2019, #MCSO Search and Rescue Deputies and Volunteers spent much of the day searching for Jerry Overstreet on the property behind Indian Lakes Estates. At about 4:00 P.M., with the assistance of the family, we were able to locate Jerry in an area of heavy brush about one mile from his vehicle. Jerry had some minor injuries due to being in the brush overnight and was dehydrated. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for a full medical evaluation and treatment.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Jerry’s family for their help, as well as the California Highway Patrol and Fresno County Sheriff’s Office for their helicopter’s aerial search assistance. We would also like to express our gratitude to Rosemary and Greg Robinson for delivering Subway sandwiches, chips, and a case of water to feed the search crews and Jerry’s family.

When incidents such as these occur, we are always thankful to the public for calling in possible leads and information to aid in our search efforts. These incidents are truly a team effort.

September 10, 2019 - The Madera County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in helping to locate Jerry Overstreet, approximately 65 years old. He is about 6'02" tall, and weighs coarsegoldabout 140lbs.
