September 12, 2019 - Penny Otwell, local artist, came to Sierra Foothill Charter School to paint with Teena Starchman's third and fourth grade class. Students were given paint brushes, paint and paper, and painted along with Ms. Otwell. She taught them how to use color to make their masterpieces interesting and appealing to the viewer. Students created many art pieces. At the end, Ms. Otwell gave all students three postcards of her paintings. She will be back in the spring to do a painting demonstration for the whole school.
