The initial call reported the subject had dislocated his hip and could not walk.
Patrol Deputies, Search and Rescue Volunteers, Madera County Fire, CAL-FIRE and Sierra Ambulance responded to the scene and located the subject. He was loaded into a litter and carried to the parking area, where he was transferred to an ambulance and transported to a Fresno area hospital.
As the water level in our local rivers and streams begin to drop, the Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone the rocks along the rivers have been polished and are extremely slippery.
Please use caution while hiking along the rivers and streams.
