September 21, 2019 - ATWATER, CA – The Merced County Sheriff's Office reports on Saturday, September 21, 2019 the Merced County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the California Highway patrol has issued an AMBER ALERT for the abduction of 2-year-old John Weir taken by his father Steven Weir.
John and Steven were last seen in the Merced/Atwater Area of Merced County yesterday in a red 2005 Hyundai Elantra with California license plate 5SKT544.
At this time, we are uncertain where Steven is going but he could possibly be heading to the Tuolumne or Calaveras County areas.
If you see the vehicle or suspect immediately call 9-1-1.
