September 25, 2019 - Mariposa, CA – The Mariposa County Arts Council invites all to attend the annual District 2 Art Show hosted by Merlin and Mimi Jones at their home on Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. (10403 Fiske Hill Road, Coulterville - located in Greeley Hill - 95311).

A spread of artisan hors d’oeuvres, wine, and refreshments will be served.

District 2 Art Show showcases the work of artists and craftsmen/women living in Lake Don Pedro, Coulterville, Greeley Hill, Buck Meadows, Groveland,  Pine Mt. Lake and Mariposa. This show provides the public with a unique venue to explore and purchase works of art created by their neighbors and community members. All artwork at District 2 Art Show is current, created in the past five years, and features a wide range of art mediums. Artists living in and around District 2 interested in showcasing and selling work may submit applications by September 27, 2019. Applications for artists can be found at MariposaArtsCouncil.org/district-2-art-show.

District 2 Art Show hosts more than 20 regional artists and welcomes over one hundred guests, art collectors, and friends to Merlin and Mimi Jones’ beautiful home. The venue sits on a peak in Greeley Hill, surrounded by a 360 degree view of California’s expansive Sierra Nevada wilderness; high enough that even the snowcapped monuments of Yosemite and the coastal mountain range can be seen on a clear day.

The MARIPOSA COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL, INC. is an incorporated not-for-profit organization, created to promote and support all forms of the cultural arts, for all ages, throughout Mariposa County and is funding in part by Mariposa County, the California Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
